Your Fingers Tell How Healthy You Are
The ring and index fingers of a woman are usually of equal length. With man it's usually a different story. A man's ring finger tends to be a lot longer than his index finger. Is there a relation between your health, emotions and the length of your fingers?
Previous studies have identified interesting links between finger length and the physical and psychological condition of people. Researchers studied and measured the fingers of 300 UA students to investigate the relationship between physical and psychological health of the students and their finger length.
Now your may think is this just like measuring someone's arm length and telling how good he is at eating bananas? No there is a clear link between hormones and the way you grow. The connection between male testosterone exposure in the womb and finger length is directly related for example. Hormones play an important role in growth, aggression, fertility and mental health.
The results are interesting
- Men with long ring fingers and symmetrical hands are a sign of fertility. - Women with longer index fingers are more fertile. - Boys with shorter ring fingers have a far greater risk of heart attack in early adulthood.
Does this apply to everyone? No it’s statistics; lifestyle and many other aspects play just as important roles for your personal health. But it is interesting that there is a relation.
