What would be good weight lifting exercises for basketball? I've already started doing bench pressing and biceps curls etc. But for basketball performance this doesn't seem to make sense. Which would?

Building muscle is good because you will learn to play with more power and weight.

Squating is one of the few exercises that will help you jump higher and be more explosive because it requires you to learn how to control and use different muscles at once. Just like you do when jumping and running. Skip all the single leg muscle exercises they have are not linked to athletic performance.

O yeah don't do a full squat. You don't use the range when jumping or running
