Diets: Green Tea Extracts - Better weight lost

Believe it or not but simply drinking green tea, or taking a green tea extract will help you loose weight much faster.

A new study looked at healthy overweight men showed how much of an effect the green tea extract had on body mass, BMI, Fat, Fat around the middle section and other health and body characteristics.

Two groups were asked to follow a calorie restricted diet: 90% of their needed calories. One group was put on a low tea diet, getting just 22 mg catechins and the other group 690 mg of catechins, the substance thought responsible for weight loss in green tea.

After 12 weeks the results are interesting, or spectacular, depending how you look at it.

Weight loss: 2.4 kg VS 1.3
Body Mass loss: 1.4 kg VS 0.7
Wais: 3.4 VS 1.6 cm
BMI: 0.8 VS 0.4

The researchers have no real explanation yet as to the why and how it exactly works. But it does seem to work well.

Note that if you “plan” to stop dieting and start gaining weight again you might win back the weight faster. A previous study showed the weight loss from green tea can come back faster again if you gain weight after your diet.
