07/20	Basketball Vertical Jump, Anaerobic Power and Shooting Accuracy after Strength Training Worried that your shooting skills, jump power and height are affected by a strenght training program? A new study suggests that you can just go ahead and get stronger.The strength training session on a lift day was a full-body workout and included 7 exercises performed in 3–6 sets at loads ranging from a 5 to 12 repetition maximum. After 6 hours vertical jump, anaerobic power and shooting accuracy were measured and compared with a non workout day. No difference. 06/28	US Olympic Basketball Team 78: Italy 95 The United States got killed 95-78 Tuesday by the Italian National Basketball Team. In 10 days the US team needs to improve to be able to take the gold in the Athens Olympics Basketball Games. It was an embarrassing loss by the team with all NBA players. Carmelo Anthony scored a team-high 19 points, and Duncan had 15 points and 10 rebounds. What really killed the team was the zone defense of the Italians and the poor shooting skills of some of the players. On defense the NBA players let the Italians make 15 !!! 3 pointers.
