Chondroitin supplements relieves pain and improves mobility knee osteoarthritis
Taking a chondroitin supplement may improve knee pain and improve Knee Osteoarthritis. Knee osteoarthritis affects 14.1 per cent of men and 22.8 per cent of women over the age of 45.
In a new study a group taking chondroitin sulphate 800 mg daily had reduced symptoms by 36 per cent after one year compared to 23 per cent in a placebo group. The study used Lequesne’s algo-functional index for pain and knee function to study the effects of the Chondroitin supplement.
