new Vitamin found in Whey to lower Cholesterol, slow Aging
Cancer researchers have discovered a new vitamin, Nicotinamide riboside, found in Whey related to the vitamin B family. Just like B3 it may play an important role in gene regulation, metabolism and ageing.
The new vitamin is a type of coenzyme similar to the group of B3 vitamins. Vitamin B3, or Niacin, is actually a group of similar working vitamins: nicotinic acid and nicotinamide. The niacin form of vitamin B3 helps regulate cholesterol, niacinamide does not.
The researches think this new form of vitamin B3, Nicotinamide riboside, can help lower cholesterol.
