confirmed: CLA supplement (Conjugated Linoleic Acid) reduce Body Fat up to 9%
Results of the first long-term CLA supplement study has shown that the fatty supplement can cut body fat by up to 9% without eating less calories and exercising more. The new study published in American Journal of Clinical Nutrition concludes that the conjugated linoleic acid CLA supplement reduces body fat mass in overweight healthy adults by as much as 9%.
The study followed a total of 180 healthy men and women, ages 18 to 65. All with a body mass index (BMI) of 25-30 kg/m2.
Group 1: 4.5 grams Tonalin(R) CLA-free fatty acid Group 2: 4.5 grams Tonalin(R) CLA-triglycerides Group 3:4.5 grams of olive oil (placebo)
Our healthy overweight subjects took 4.5 grams of Tonalin CLA supplement (effective 3.4g CLA) per day. This resulted significant reduction of their body fat mass compared to those in a placebo group.
The study’s aim was long-term safety and efficacy of CLA supplements over a 12-month period. What’s even better; no extra workouts, not eating less. This study seems to confirm earlier trials that found the CLA supplement improves the body fat-muscle composition: less fat, more or maintaining your lean muscle mass.
At the start there was no difference in weight, BMI, body fat mass or lean body mass. After six months, group 1 and 2 (both types of Tonalin(R) CLA) saw significant reduction in body fat mass. Group 3 probably felt miserable, no change.
